Sycamore

Sycamore arrived quietly in our home, but it didn’t take long for her personality to come out. We had just brought her home from the shelter, still getting to know her habits and watching her explore each corner with wide, curious eyes. At first, she moved carefully and softly, walking across the hardwood floors as if testing whether this new place was truly hers. But within a day or two, that shy curiosity turned into something brighter—playfulness, affection, and a sense that she had already decided this was her home.

One of our favorite early moments with Sycamore is watching her at mealtime. She approaches her bowl with a mix of focus and excitement, tail gently swaying, completely at ease. Even something as simple as eating has become a little ritual—one that reminds us how safe and comfortable she already feels.

But what truly stands out about Sycamore is her playful spirit. She has a natural curiosity that turns everyday objects into adventures. The water fountain quickly became one of her favorite discoveries—she’ll pause, watch the gentle movement, and sometimes reach out as if trying to understand its magic. Those small, thoughtful moments make her so special.

As the days go by, Sycamore continues to open up more. She’s affectionate in the sweetest ways—staying close, following us from room to room, and settling nearby as if she just wants to be part of whatever we’re doing. There’s a calm warmth about her that balances her playful energy.

Adopting Sycamore has already brought so much joy into our home. She’s not just adjusting—she’s thriving, and in the process, she’s filled our space with comfort, curiosity, and love. We’re so grateful she found her way to us, and we can’t wait to see her personality continue to grow.
