Seamus

Saturn does have a new name. He became Seamus (pronounced Shay-mus), which is a very distinguished Irish Gaelic name.

As you may recall, when Saturn lived at the shelter, he was given the honor of residing in the bathroom because he didn’t get along with the other cats. Fortunately, because I live in an apartment and was only allowed to have one cat, it didn’t matter to me that he didn’t get along with the other kitties. I quickly learned that while he isn’t fond of his fellow species, he is fond of humans.

Seamus has been good about using his litter box and scratching posts. He helps me out by cleaning the dirty lunch and dinner dishes. He doesn’t like oatmeal, however, so cleaning the breakfast dishes is entirely on me. He curls up with me at night, and any time I sit in the easy chair, he jumps in my lap. Best of all, he loves to give Eskimo kisses. I’ve never had a cat before who liked to rub noses.

Seamus is a wonderful cat and a great companion. I feel so lucky to have him as my buddy.
