Reed

Reed is doing very well! We ended up keeping his name.
He is adjusting well, he is very outgoing and social! We have two other pets, a golden retriever named Holly, who is 8 years old, and also another cat, Veda, who is about 10. She was a stray cat that we took in back then. Holly is so good with both cats, although they all sort of just “do their own thing”.
Veda and Reed get along, most of the time. Veda just wants to do her own thing, but Reed wants to jump and play with Veda, and Veda doesn’t like that, and usually gets mad and backs up, maybe a hiss or two. Often Reed and Veda will be lying on the couch a foot apart, and they look so happy and content, until Reed decides he wants to play. So, that is the only thing that we are still working on. Sometimes I try to intercept, and other times I try to let them work it out. Usually Reed will leave, but then he usually comes back a minute later wanting to play again.
Reed has been eating great, and no health problems. We do separate all three when we feed them for now. Reed is making himself very comfortable on the couch, and in our laundry basket, lol. The other photo is of Reed, last Sunday, when he was watching the Masters on T, the golf championship. He was watching the golf balls and very interested in the ball moving. He fits in with the family because my husband and boys are big golfers! My oldest son, played with a famous golfer Patrick Reed about ten years ago at The Traveler’s Golf Tournament in Cromwell, CT, so the name Reed is very fitting for him!
One last interesting thing, is that Reed likes to follow us around the house, or even chase my son around the house. If my son runs down the hall, Reed will run after him! Most of my cats in the past, have been much more shy and reserved. He is very outgoing!
