Petunia

Cicada is now Petunia! When I first got her, I believe she had been in the shelter for almost a year because she was so shy (and pretty spicy at times, from what I’ve heard). It definitely took her longer than it would for some other cats to settle in here and feel comfortable, but now she is the queen of the house.

It has been so much fun seeing Petunia’s personality come out—when I first got her, I thought she might be a quiet and gentle kitty, but she is actually a playful, sassy, vocal girl! She is not exactly a lap cat, but she loves walking around in circles for pets and headbutts, all while purring loudly. She also loves her mouse toys and chasing anything on a wand or a string. I’m really happy I took a chance on a cat who was shy in the shelter, since her true personality is so funny and she has added lots of love, joy, and laughter to my life! Looking forward to spending many more years with her as she continues coming out of her shell and making sure everyone knows she is the queen bee.
