Oslo

Oslo (formerly known as Yuki) has been such a treat to have and I’d love to provide you with an update. Yuki has been renamed to Oslo. Of course there’s Oslo, Norway which is where my husband and I went on our honeymoon. But, this particular Oslo is for the Old Norse meaning, which means Meadow of the Gods. His eyes reflect the earth and the sky, which fit perfectly. Plus, all our pets are named from Old Norse mythology. He’s adjusting well! He’s still hesitant about the dogs, but they’re being very patient with him. He has definitely created a home for himself, and we are looking forward to watching him get more comfortable. His roommate is Fenrir, who is far more timid than Oslo. Oslo has been trying to break down the anxious barrier Fenrir put up, and now they’re playing with and grooming each other! The only issue is that Oslo has no sense of personal space, which Fenrir is slowly getting used to. Oslo came home with a nasty upper respiratory infection no one was aware of (it happens – to be expected when you rescue!). We already had his first vet visit booked when we brought him home, and they were able to help us with treatment. He’s now all cleared up, but it unfortunately passed to Fenrir. Fenny has two days left of his treatment, and then we’ll be smooth sailing! Our vet is OBSESSED with Oslo though- his personality is so chill and friendly.
