Loki

Basil is now known as Loki.
Loki is loving life here, and we love having him in our family. It didn’t take Loki long to adjust to us and his new home. He’s very affectionate, has a great disposition, and lives up to his new name (Norse god of mischief). He gets into everything and everywhere. It doesn’t matter how high or small, he finds a way. He is great with our children, and they often fight about whose room Loki will sleep in at night. His favorite toys are the play mice, which he fetches when you throw them, or he’ll launch them into the air on his own. He enjoys sitting by the large picture window so he can swat at any bugs that crawl on it or fly by.
Chewy, our 12-year-old orange tabby, was slower in welcoming Loki to our home. It took Chewy a long time to accept us after we adopted him, so we knew it wouldn’t be quick. However, over time through a gradual introduction process, Chewy began to accept and tolerate Loki. Loki is still growing on Chewy a little each day. Now they play together and chase each other through the house. Occasionally, after Chewy falls asleep, Loki will snuggle up next to him and groom him. Chewy enjoys having Loki around, but like all siblings, they still have the occasional squabble.
No eating or health issues, but he is food crazy. He loves food! If there is any sound or movement in the kitchen, Loki is there, hoping to get more food.
