Benji

Apollo is now Benji which was his name before the shelter, he responds very well to it and it looks a lot like a Benji!
He has been adjusting well. He was very overwhelmed at first but is now very comfortable with me and my girlfriend. He does get a bit overstimulated and anxious when people or we take him somewhere with a lot of people, he has a very hard time setting down in these situations, I’m guessing he wasn’t very exposed to those type of situations when he was younger.
He was also initially very protective over his food, but through some training we’ve managed to get that to stop.
No other animals in the home, but he has visited my parents’ dogs and he gets along well enough, they are very scared of him though since they’re so small. At the dog park and on walks he is great with other dogs, always very playful and respectful.
Benji has been a great so far. His only flaws are digging in the couch and stealing our clothes for attention.
He is extremely playful and friendly with other dogs and people, he loves it and gets so excited when people or other dogs say hi on walks.
His favorite toy is 100% his tennis ball gun he got for Christmas, he will play fetch with it until he is exhausted.
He really enjoys chewing on his bully bones and tearing up old cardboard boxes as well.
He is very smart and picks up on new commands very quickly. He had a bit of training from his past owners but not very much, we have been working on it and he has gotten a lot better already.
